Marae Facilities
Whare Tupuna
Our Whare Tupuna was recently opened 25th July 2022. We are very excited to have our complete marae open to use.
Whare Tupuna Information:
Can seat up to 350 people (120 chairs available from the marae, if you require extra seating you would need to provide your own or hire elsewhere)
Can sleep 75 people comfortably (75 mattresses available from the marae)
Mattresses, sheets and pillow available (laundry charges apply)

Mops, brooms & cleaning equipment are colour co-ordinated and clearly marked for our whare tupuna, wharekai and whareiti - please use accordingly and only in designated areas.
Wharekai
Our Wharekai was opened in 2020. Along with being the wahi kai for all our hui, our wharekai is the ideal location for wedding celebrations, 21st birthdays, hakari and many other celebrations.

Can seat a maximum of 140 people comfortably
All tables and chairs included
All kitchen facilities, cookware and serving provided

Mops, brooms & cleaning equipment are colour co-ordinated and clearly marked for our kitchen, dining room and whare iti, please use accordingly and only in designated areas.
Scrap buckets are available at the marae but must be returned before departure
All other rubbish is to be removed by hirer including recycling
Tea towels provided are to be used for drying dishes only
Tea towels and table cloths will be sanitised / laundered at the end of your hireage ready for the next whanau. (laundry charges apply)
Grounds
PLEASE :
be very cautious when exiting the driveway onto Te Iringa West Road and onto New Zealand SH12
supervise your tamariki at all times.
park all vehicles in the carpark with consideration to others
respect our marae grounds
The Poukara (flagstaff) situated on the Marae Atea was erected to honour the memory of our tūpuna mātua. Please honour their memory with us.
Parking
The Marae has two large areas for parking; one situated in front of the wharekai and the other parallel to the Whare Tupuna.
